Unplugged

An unplugged version of It's my Life by Bon Jovi. It's very different from the original version of the song.

For those students who are performing now in White Tangerine Cafe, maybe you can take a look at this clip and look at how Bon Jovi make this song into a acoustic version by changing and improvising the vocals. We do not need a full band to make a good song, you can make it your own version...just by a bit of creativity.

3's Not A Crowd @ SAM

3's not a Crowd definitely lived up to their group name, not just because they attracted a full house audience but they also proved their worth as a trio! The acoustic band features Yutong as vocalist, Longhui on the guitar and Jason on the lead guitar and cajon.

The female vocalist Yutong, is gifted with a captivating voice, soothing yet powerful. She sang the seemingly difficult songs like "有你多好", "记得" with ease, and mesmerized the audience from the beginning of the show with the help of Longhui and Jason. The 2 guys had their moments too, when Jason sang a few of his own composition and Longhui sang a few of Eric Moo's number. I really like their rendition of songs like "我感觉不到你" and "月亮代表我的心", as they gave a refreshing and jazzy feel to the songs.

Overall, 3's not a Crowd did a great job! 3 cheers for Yutong, Jason and Longhui!

Singapore Arts Street 2008~!~!

Echomusic was very privileged to be given a slot this year at the Singapore Arts Street 2008. It was another platform for our talented and shining students from the "Star Program" to rock on stage! Jake and Fiona were handpicked by their "ShiFu" and they rised up to the opportunity. :) Besides having to sing on stage, they had to interact with the audience, and for a start, they did pretty well! Every opportunity on stage is a valuable experience.

The Singapore Arts Street was held outside Hougang Mall, and although there wasn't much of a crowd, both Jake and Fiona managed to capture the passer-bys attention. Jake with his soothing and emotive vocals and Fiona with her power-packed vocals. They are definitely budding stars in the making! It was nice to see fellow students, Neo and Alex who came down specially to render some support :)

Performance at White Tangerine Cafe!

We have our students Esther and Neo along with our instructors Caleb, Edmund, Wendy and Simin performing at the White Tangerine Cafe last Sunday.

Its always heartening to see students improved. I would like to comment that Esther developed her maturity in performing live. Her rendition of "Wo Huan Nian De" won praises all-round from the audience and the instructors. Neo maintain his standard of singing. Jake and Sky had their moments too. Caleb surprise me with his improvement in vocals as well. It's a great effort overall.

Thanks to all the students, instructors and friends (especially Li Li Mei Zi) who make their way down to support.

Echo Music will now officially be performing LIVE at White Tangerine Cafe every Sunday. I am sure it will be a good platform for all the students to showcase her singing and also improve as a performer overall. Make your way down to support if you could!
