Unleash your Talent at Kovan

Unleash your talent is a event organised by a XYZ (Xtreme Youth Zone) to let the youngsters have a chance to showcase their singing talent on stage. I thought it is a very meaningful and cozy event. Echomusic had 4 students participating as well. I would say it is great effort overall.

Victor, our guitar instructor is very kind to help out with the guitar accompaniment that night. Alex was also very helpful snapping the pictures for us. Thank you both so much. As for my side, I am sitting with the audience watching my students performing......praying that they will do well and bringing what they had been taught in the classroom with them.

Me with the boys!

Me with the bride and bridegroom....just joking..

Everyone! Love the Lomo effect

I felt that it is only through live performances on stage that will truly strengthen us as a musician. Looking forward for more in the future.........=)

We got some guests!

Echomusic had some guests came visiting early 2008. It is indeed a pleasure to have them with us.

Bob Fitts and his wife

First we have the legendary Bob Fitts and his wife. I did not have the pleasure to meet up with them. But Simon mentioned they are a lovely couple and they have a small session sharing their views about Gospel music. I really wish I was there.

Ah Hong with Denis, Simon and the cheeky Elias

Next is Taiwan celebrity chef Ah Hong! Ah Hong is probably best known for his healthy and delicious recipes. His short stay in Singapore was so hectic which includes a gathering at the Marriott Hotel with hundreds of fans and of course.....recording his upcoming album at Echomusic Studio!

In person, I find Ah Hong rather approachable and real. He will make small conversations with people and even engage in small talks. Ah Hong is also taller than I expected and he actually looks so young for his age. I think his nutritious recipes must have help him a lot.

Ah Wen and Simon in Echomusic Studio

Ah Wen and ME!

Lastly, it is Ah Wen from Taiwan!

Ah Wen is Chen Sheng's (best known for his hit 'One Night in Beijing') drummer. You might be spotting his face playing the drums in almost all the Taiwan variety shows...which also include the 2 seasons of 'Chao Ji Xing Guang Da Dao". He also have a band of his own called "Xiao Hu Zhi" (little nurses).

Ah Wen came down to Singapore this time to perform for a concert Liang Zhu (Butterfly Lovers) with some of the most influentials 80's singers at Expo. He is so kind to have contacted me and we had a small catchup. Simon and I then brought him to our school for a short tour and share our views of music industry together.

Echomusic hopes to have more friends visiting us in the not too distant future!
