Xinyao at SAM!

Edmund and Caleb kicked off our first Xinyao show in Singapore Art Museum!

For those who don't know, Echomusic School and Singapore Art Museum are going to hold the Xinyao Festival for the whole of 2008. We will be having Xinyao live performances once a month. The details will be released in a later date. It is going to be very exciting!

Jiayou Jiayou!

We weren't expecting a big crowd as it is the second day of Lunar New Year. But to my surprise, as soon as I enter the museum; people start to crowd around and ask what time is the show starting. The glass gallery which we are performing in is full of visitors; some locals and tourists enjoying the activities arranged by the crew of SAM. There are Chinese calligraphy sections, children's drawing sections as well as goodies bag giveaway.

We started the performance at 3.00pm. The response from the crowd is endearing. There weren't chairs provided for the audience, so you see small groups of people gathering around the stage; some standing in one corner and some don't mind to sit on the floor. They would clapped along with those fast numbers and sing along with the familiar tunes. The Xinyaos from the 80s are still very much loved by Singaporeans.

The greatest surprise comes when we saw the TV crew of Channel News Asia taking a shot of our performers! We were featured in the news as well.

Erm..some superstars performing?

Its Edmund and Caleb!

Edmund and Caleb have most certainly enjoyed themselves. We hope the audience like our performance too.For those who loved Xinyaos, or wish to find out why is Xinyao still so loved after so long? Please do keep track of our upcoming performances.

Lastly, thank you Tricia and her friend for coming down to support! Thanks to Jamie from SAM who organise this event so nicely for us.
